Sorry to do this in a text, but we just wanted to let you know we got some bad news yesterday. Isla has been diagnosed with cancer 😢. She has retinoblastoma in her right eye (tumour of the retina). She also has a very small one in her left eye. She will probably have no vision in her right eye and may even lose her eye. Left one should be fine though. We're still waiting on results from a heap more tests to know more, but it's been a shit couple of days and we are absolutely devastated. It's going to be a long road for the poor little angel. She will probably be starting chemo in the next couple of days. Both our parents are heading up tomorrow. We're just getting through telling all our friends we want to tell, but we are happy for the grapevine to start doing it's thing now (if you can avoid putting anything on Facebook though). Everyone has been amazing and we have a lot of love and support from all our family and friends and Isla has been a little trooper. She's had to fast for half a day today and yesterday and had a crap load tests done under a general anaesthetic today. But she's doing well. Lots of love Ali and Garreth.xx
