This month we were pretty nervous as it has been 2 months since chemo finished and this is when it’s likely that things may start growing again. We tried a later flight to Melbourne this month, as Isla has been moved down the list a little. It wasn’t the best flight, as Isla then had to be fasting during the entire flight. It wasn’t quite as easy to settle her on the plane with a bottle of water.
We were very relieved after the EUA to find out there was still no change in her eyes. Everything is looking quite stable, with no new tumours. No laser or cryo performed. So that was great news.
This month was full of exciting things. Isla started to crawl early September. Now that chemo is finished and Isla has a bit of immunity back we have some freedom to do things we weren’t able to do before. Isla started swimming lessons in September, which she LOVES. We had a weekend in Mt Gambier to see some family who Isla hadn’t met yet and we spent labour day weekend in Hayborough with some friends and their little baby.
